Damon Lockwood has had his work produced all across Australia and internationally.

He won the national Write Now! 2005 competition (NSW) for Best Script with his one man show Domestic Bliss and his script Pri-mates, for Barking Gecko Theatre Company , was selected for the AUSTRALIAN SCRIPT CENTRE COLLECTION #6 publication.

Nature as Explained by Theatre, for Blue Room Theatre, was chosen as the PLAY OF THE MONTH, OCTOBER 2007 for the Australian Script Centre.

Other scripts include Muttaburrasaurus (Spare Parts Puppet Theatre), Gogo Fish: The Fossil that Changed the World (Barking Gecko Theatre Company), 12:15, Saturday Night (Blue Room Theatre, SHORTLISTED FOR 2006 SHORT AND SWEET SYDNEY) and A Change in the Weather (Blue Room Theatre, NOMINATED FOR 2005 BLUE ROOM THEATRE AWARD FOR BEST PRODUCTION), Short Four Play (Blue Room Theatre) and Forget-Me-Not and Refractions (Deckchair Theatre Company). His play Horsehead (NOMINATED FOR 'BEST NEW PLAY' AT THE 2009 WESTERN AUSTRALIAN EQUITY AWARDS) won the inaugural ROME FRINGE FESTIVAL and had a sponsored season at the NEW YORK FRINGE FESTIVAL 2013. His play I (Honestly) Love You, broke all attendance records at The Blue Room Theatre where it was staged and was re-mounted for the opening of the new Churchlands Concert Hall over two sold out nights. I (honestly) Love You toured to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and New York International Fringe Festival in 2013 to rave reviews. His most recent plays are Needle in the Haystack, Jesus: No Ordinary Life and Love and Hate.

Damon was nominated for 'Best Actor' at the 2006 Equity Guild Awards for the role of Mugsy in Patrick Maber's Dealer's Choice (Perth Theatre Company/ Red Ryder Production). Other credits include Hot Dogs, His Majesty's New Clothes and Pri-mates (Barking Gecko Theatre Company),Aquasapiens, The Velveteen Rabbit and The Little Prince (Spare Parts Puppet Theatre), Romeo and Juliet , The Danger Age (Deckchair Theatre Company), Across Hellfire (Luke Milton Productions),Horsehead, I (honestly Love You (Lockwood Productions ), Taking Liberty (Perth Theatre Company) , Boundary Street, Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Black Swan State Theatre Company) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Gasp (Queensland Theatre Company). He was nominated for Best Actor at the Ninth Annual WA Screen Awards for his role in the short film Unky Doom. Damon is a founding member of the improvisational group The Big Hoo Haa!, which has performed every Friday night since 1992 – he has played most of those Saturdays!
